Tiene buena adherencia, propiedades formadoras de pel\u00edcula, resistencia al aceite y protecci\u00f3n coloidal. No contamina y es degradable, caracter\u00edsticas poco frecuentes en los materiales polim\u00e9ricos. En comparaci\u00f3n con otros productos qu\u00edmicos, el PVA y sus productos derivados tienen un espacio de desarrollo muy amplio, y se siguen desarrollando nuevos usos y nuevas variedades.
