Sellel on hea adhesiivsus, filmi moodustamise omadused, \u00f5likindlus ja kolloidne kaitse. Saastevabad ja lagunevad omadused, mida pol\u00fcmeermaterjalide puhul harva n\u00e4eb. V\u00f5rreldes teiste keemiatoodetega on PVA-l ja selle derivaatidel v\u00e4ga lai arenguruum ning uusi kasutusalasid ja uusi sorte arendatakse pidevalt edasi. PVA-toodete traditsioonilistes kasutusvaldkondades kasutatakse neid lisaks s\u00fcnteetiliste vin\u00fc\u00fclkiudude toorainena peamiselt liimides, tekstiilimassis, paberitootmises jne.
