Hernieuwbare natuurlijke polymeren zijn gebruikt om de biologische afbreekbaarheid van producten voor eindgebruik op basis van polyvinylalcohol te evalueren. Polyvinylalcoholmaterialen worden veel gebruikt in biologisch afbreekbare synthetische polymeren vanwege hun biologische afbreekbaarheid onder verschillende microbi\u00eble omstandigheden. Polyvinylalcohol wordt gebruikt in verschillende industrie\u00ebn, waaronder keramiek, textiel, coatings, papier en hout. Bovendien kunnen producten van dezelfde kwaliteit in verschillende toepassingen worden gebruikt. De afgelopen jaren heeft deze eigenschap de vraag naar polyvinylalcohol doen toenemen. Vanwege de eigenschappen, zoals ethanol, oplosbaarheid in water, vet- en oliebestendigheid, zijn er verschillende minder bekende alternatieven om uit te kiezen. De inherente eigenschappen van polyvinylalcohol maken het nuttig voor toepassingen die alleen milieuvriendelijke materialen vereisen. Nu campagnes zoals \"groene milieubescherming\" en \"hergebruik\" steeds meer aandacht krijgen, wordt dit gezien als een belangrijk voordeel van het product.
